The Mindless Donald J. Trump

Nobody, not even his closest friends, say that they know what the Donald is really all about. We do know that he is an impulsive flip-flopped and habitual fibber who is putting together an eclectic administration in which conflict is bound to rage.

So who is Donald Trump? Maybe he is actually a zero. With some folks there is just no there there. In some ways, wanting to please no one and yet everyone, the Donald might simply be a soulless person who reflects the character of the last person or group with which he has held intercourse.

Lincoln was said to posses this sort of behavior, but so, too, have the worlds most ruthless dictators. And by his other known characteristics we might correctly assume that Trump has more in common with the latter than the former.

So what does this portend for the Donald’s policies and demeanor? I guess it means that we better hope that he doesn’t spend a lot of time in the company of Vladimir Putin and other diabolical dictators who are in the habit of seeing to it that their critics conveniently disappear.

My wildest guess is that Trump will do many things that are of a great benefit to himself as president and some things that are of a great benefit for the country. Unfortunately I also fear that he will do many things that are highly detrimental to the nation and its average citizens. You know, a kind of endless and mindless game of Russian roulette with other people’s lives, money and property.
