The only reason humans jump to thinking in finite terms is because ego is so devised as to put us at the center of everything. And so since we are born and die, then by our standards everything, as with us, must have a beginning and an end.

To the universe our blink of an eye existence is insignificant, and for a large numbers of self-obsessed humans the universe is not worth contemplating.
