The point is, Jay, and maybe I made it in another article, Unions depend on leverage. Unions once thrived because for a time following WWII the US had a manufacturing monopoly. Money was rolling in by bucketloads, so management pretty much let the unions do their thing, WHICH IS GOOD.

Unfortunately once cheap overseas labor was tapped business could begin putting the squeeze back on the workers. And now with AI robotics taking over, labor has zero leverage.

Trump doesn’t care about bringing jobs back beyond it being a political scam. He is like every other Republican playing the scare and xenophobia card as cover for passing the nation’s wealth up to the 1%.
