The primitive ego hates change. It is conservative. The primitive ego is tribalistic, making it nationalistic and hating the “other”. Fox, Trump and all dictators pander the primitive ego. Where there is no countervailing intellect and fear is stoked the primitive ego runs wildly toward authoritarianism.

And here, Jay, is the supreme irony. Those who love freedom the most are the least willing to fight for it because death is the ultimate loss of freedom. Those who jump at the chance to fight for freedom care least about freedom so risking death has little meaning for them.

I guess then that with all his those phony military deferments that makes Trump a freedom loving liberal, or is he the exception to the rule. Oh, life is so complicated.
