The problem is not the press. It is just that the sort of folks who want to shot the messenger have morphed into the same party — the Republican Party — after many decades of being relatively harmlessly defused among the two major parties. Thus it has become very hard to get around their collective destructive impact. They are the ones who chose Trump to lead them on a La La Land suicide mission papered over with distortion and lies. The mainstream press is just telling it like it is. What else can it do?
