The question I ask is can political parties be removed from government. The founding fathers hoped so.
Alas, the obvious answer would be no. Men are ruled by their emotions and emotions equal politics, causing men to band together in poltical parties for advantage. This of course more often than not makes the power of the party to become more important than the good of the nation.
Yet, I can't help thinking that some system of government could be creatively structured in a way that would defeat political advantage. Oxymoron?
Probably a silly hope on my part, but, still, I would love to see a commission of legal, government and psychological experts try to hash out such a far less emotionally based system of government.
