The trouble is, Mike, at our most basic ego, tribal impulse level we are all hardwired to respond to follow guys like Trump. Meaning that around 40% of any population has failed to developed a level of intellect needed to override their own egocentric impulses. In fact they wallow in them, oblivious as to how they are so easily monnipultd by cons like Trump.

This natural programing of the mind is what makes democracy such a dicy form of government. Indeed, a significant segment of the electorate doesn’t understand or care about it; and some actually fear democracy because it gives them no emotional cover to fail.
