The world is a confusing place. There are always entirely conflicting forces at work. For one thing, since Roman times liberal cites have alway been in conflict with the more conservative hinterlands, the latter which the Electoral College system favors in America. Cutting through all these swirling forces we can be certain of only one thing over the long haul, politically trends always move from right to left as new generations come into their political prime.
