There are two things that keep religion alive, the momentum of a long tradition of religious conditioning, but most of all its the religious impulse stemming from the primitive ego, the foundation of the mind. This admittedly is a hard superstitious combo to beat, but as general knowledge continues to grow, a broad intellect can and does very often rise above it all.
