There is nothing about fascism that is particular unique to any one nation or groups of nations. Fascism is rooted in the negative tribal offset of hatred and fear of the “other.” Any two-bit wannabe demagogic dictator, when conditions are ripe, can almost always find at least forty percent of a population excited to jump on board the hate train.

The negative offset factor of probability balance alone makes the periodic overthrow of democracies a given. Obviously Trump possesses the crude and ruthless egocentric temperament necessary to make a “fine” dictator. Still, it remains problematic that he can permanently destroy America and the world in a single term. But since he will soon be in a position to dictate what the laws encompass, one would assume that he will eventually find a way to finish the job.
