There is one universal law that cannot be physically detected nor measured though its results can be observed: It is the law that I call probability balance.
This law states that at some point in time creation is always offset by destruction; stars are born and stars die. And as humanity is a product of the universe, it is also subject (no matter how hard it tries to get around it) to this law of the universe.
This is why peace is always offset by war, love offset by hate. This law is so obvious as to be invisible to serious contemplation.
Yes, all creation has within it the seed of its own destruction. When it comes to humanity’s fantastic technical advancements of the last several hundred years, the offset of all that creation is the thousands of nuclear tipped missiles stockpiled around the world patiently waiting to balance out (offset) human creation.
From a human perspective reality can be hell. Perhaps this is why many folks make such an effort to avoid reality and thus turn their back on science.
