Trump Out To Crush The NFL

More than his love for money and women (not in a good way with the girls), the Donald lives mostly just to humiliate and ruin people. He’s a sadistic bastard. It’s the only way empty souls like Trump can gain a sense of power and self-worth, a twisted sense of worth for sure.

This is the basis for the fact that all Trump touches die. Now he is taking great joy in killing the NFL He is pitting the predominantly black players against the mostly White working class fan base. Before Trump entered the picture, pro football was one area of society where the negative tribal impulse of race didn’t seem to raise its ugly head. White fans didn’t give a crap that their heroes were Black, just that they were better than those of the rival team.

Even when some players took a knee during the Star Spangled Banner, most fans got it that is it was meant as a protest against police brutality, not disrespect for flag and country.

But then Trump, not one to miss an opportunity for generating hate and division, jumped the issue. He immediately turned it into a cultural issue — Trump’s people against all the rest. And since this divide is by now set in stone with the White working class on one side and minorities on the other, the NFL is helpless to defend itself. Once gain Trump will take great delight in pouring gasoline a social fire of his own creation. He will enjoy watching owners, players and fans being hopelessly trapped in his web of vicious deceit.
