Trump Relieves Guilt

This was a reply taking about why people cling so tightly to the Donald.

Actually there is another factor as well. People who see their lives as irrefutably spoiled wish to pass control and responsibility for themselves over to some radical leader and cause. Thus the saying goes that people pray not so much for their daily bread as they do for their daily deception.

Trump may not in general be very smart, but when it comes to manipulating lesser minds he is a master. He gives them what they want most, freedom from guilt, and so they pass their guilt on to him. Thus being greatly relieved they come to love their leader passionately and unconditionally.

Notice how Trump the manipulator told his following the other night that they loved him and really they had no other choice but to support him. He knows his game, his only game, well.

Indeed, Trump, like any effective would be dictator. has no interest in governance. Instead he pours all his energy into building his cult following by giving them what they wish most, freedom from guilt.
