Trump Supporters — Out Of Touch Professional Politicians Is Not Your Problem

The problem is much more than out of touch politicians. It is human nature and the systems it spawns. The whole point of our American democracy was to try and devise a system of government whereby the smart, the rich and the powerful could not unduly crush the average Joe.

Unfortunately no matter how you try to devise a government system that will protect the little guy, nature ends up having its way. Very smart folks with connections and unlimited economic resources will always find ways to subvert any system of governance to their personal advantage. Thus rolling the little guy over and over again.

Government simply reflects human nature. Revolution after revolution in the end accomplishes nothing, except on those occasions where brutal dictators are ejected from power.

In the case of Trump, however, there has never been a clearer case of a ruthless dictator personality type chasing power. So for Trump supporters this is like a reverse revolution. The catch is that folks don’t mind an evil leader as long as he convinces them that he is THEIR evil leader. This is how guys like Putin thrive.
