Unfortunately, like everything else in the universe, technology is at the mercy of the ultimate law of the universe — probability balance. Meaning that creation is always, at some point in time, offset by destruction. Stars are born and stars die. Peace is offset by war and love by hate. Humanity has had a few hundred years of terrific technological innovation. The offset of all that innovation waits restlessly in silos and submarines all around the globe.
