Way back when, the middle east was the high tech capital of the world. It may be leading the way over the edge. Moreover, tiny factions on all sides of the race lines in America have always been hoping for a race war.

And of course we have had flair-ups over the years, but if the pressure cooker of population growth keeps going, it could turn into a deadly game of musical chairs for the earth’s diminishing resources. OR! Extreme violence in time might stabilize population growth — very long-shot with that one.

I still think it’s only a matter of time until someone or something trips off the world’s stockpile of nuclear firecrackers as life’s grand finale. I suspect this life and death cycle has been endlessly repeated around the universe.
