We are all born egocentric children with ourselves at the center of the universe. As we mature and expand our intellect we move outward from our primitive selves where we can grasp a larger, more perfectly contrasted view of the reality of others and the universe.

Some folks, however, fail to expand their life horizon. They remain forever egocentric children. With them there is only me, my family, my religion, my state, my job — a tribally contained view of life. For them all who are beyond their personal orbit are to be feared as unwanted competition. Out of this second group springs the toddler Donald Trump and his intellectually stunted followers — reckless, immature and dangerous folks to be sure.
