Well, Dave, it comes down to one of those things of which you better be careful of what you wish. For a long, long time we have been complaining about all of society’s coverups and hypocrisies . And sure enough we got our wish. The world has gotten a lot more transparent over the last 20 years or so.

The reality is that as it turns out all that coverup and hypocrisy we so hated has been protecting us from stuff that deep down we didn’t ever really want to know.

Sometimes deception and self-deception makes life a whole lot easier. I mean believing in Jesus and Santa Claus goes down a bit smoother than thinking about the ugly Donald with his grubby little finger on the nuclear trigger.
