Well, Kathy, I doubt that most GOP operatives care all that much about religion. It’s mostly just about using religion to help gain and retain power.

And of course the religious folks don’t care all that much about the quality of politicians just as long as they believe that the pols reinforce their ideas for getting to “heaven.”
