Well said, Michael. Conservatives are folks whose mind has never evolved beyond its tribal impulses. Therefore their outlook and notion of freedom is exclusive not inclusive. And so these types who see their exclusive feelings of freedom fading away cling desperately to Donald Trump who panders to their restrictive view of America.

In other words while liberals look to a better version of America in the future, conservatives cling to some mythical version of a past golden age that must be revived — Make America Great Again.
