While I’m about as far from a Trump supporter as one can get, with bad people sometimes unintended consequences arise that are good, the opposite of course of the unintended consequences of good people.

America has been kicking the can down the road for years about Chinese economic cheating of all sorts. While Trump has no idea what the heck he is doing and is making a painful mess of things with his tariffs, at least after he has finally been swept aside and his messes cleaned up, perhaps the next administration will have the balls to take on China in a serious manner, after Trump has knocked the US off the dime in that regard — Trump’s unintended consequence.
