First off Nick Foles is the best backup QB in the NFL This all got lost upon the senses of casual fans and over rated talking heads when Chip Kelly sent him to the Saint Louis Rams, which at the time was under Jeff Fisher, a place where players went to die. (Yes, he ended up back with the Eagles.

To be highly effective Foles needs a friendly environment. The Philly coaching staff is the best in that department and especially so for QBs. Next he needed time to knock the rust off and get used to his fine offensive weapons — check. And lastly playing his college ball in sunny Tucson for the U of A, he seems to do his best work vs. his opponent QB where the weather is halfway decent — not cold and damp please. In beating the Vikings with great precision, the weather for a January evening in Philly was great — mid forties and virtually no wind.

So here is the bottom line. The Eagles lead by Foles will be playing in the comfy confines of a domed stadium in Minnesota. The Eagles offense is loaded with very good runners and receivers, while the Patriots are limited to three super weapons — QB Brady, their big tight end and a midget receiver. Moreover the Eagles defense is far superior to the Patriots.

Eagles 34 Patriots 17 Slow motion Brady sacked 5 times.
