William, apparently you haven’t read many of my comments of the man’s articles. There is a ton of truth in what he says, yet it is mechanically rolled out in such a propagandist fashion that he comes off sounding like a Russian troll — very clever stuff whose real purpose is what, I do not know?
Now if your happan to be a true believer in what at times becomes predatory American capitalism and think it is as pure as the driven snow, I can see where his work would drive you nuts.
While I fear what the true purpose of his writing may be, he is pointing out how America’s oligarchs are grinding down the average citizen. By the way, if if one happens to be an average citizen the best form of economic and government style is a careful blend of capitalism and sociclalism. Each in its pure form is a disaster. We have this to some degree, but it has been slipping away in recent years as demagogues like Trump are to be found shilling on behalf of his wealthy pals.
Indeed, the highest standard of living for the average person is to be found in the social democracies of Northern Europe. Of course they as yet still relatively homogeneous populations that makes it much eaier to pull off than in xenophobia places like the US where the super wealthy can play off one group against the other for their own advantage.
