Yes, Ezinne, most religions, and most definitely Christianity and Islam, have had their periods of brutal conquest. Actually the religious impulse springs from the primitive ego whose mandate is to always seek advantage and to have its host live forever. Thus it’s part of the life force taken up a notch, which makes religions sometimes viciously competitive.
