Yes, nature's tribal impulse works hard against multicultural democracies. But I see at least a sliver of hope.

There is currently a worker shortage that is suddenly causing significant increase in low end wages. This puts lots of money in lots of folks' pockets to keep the economy flying.

Then there is the supply chain mess that is incentivizing corporations to bring some manufacturing back home, especially if they can automate most of the work.

Thus we just might end up with a few more high playing jobs in manufacturing and lots of decent paying jobs in the massive construction and sales and service industries.
