Yes, the extreme left and right are often cut from the same cloth. Thus many of the followers of Bernie and Trump were interchangeable. But though I can equate many of Bernie’s followers as interchangeable, there is a huge difference between Bernie and Trump that went over the heads of some of Bernie’s followers. While Trump is a destructive, pathological liar, Bernie is his polar opposite in that regard. Unfortunately many of Bernie’s supporters only saw that, like Trump, Bernie was not of the establishment.

So in many important respects Bernie himself is not one who I see as the same as the extreme right and far left Democrats that are prone to be of a simular kind — the Commie to Nazi thing.
