Yes The Trump Russians Are Still At It
The following is a reply to what I strongly suspect is a very clever Russian troll’s reply to my reply of his article that was critical of folks voting for the lessor of two evils. For the politically naive it sounds all-American. In really, however, it greases the skids for the end of Western Democracy.
Basically his point was that it is better to vote for one whom you truly believe in even if they have no chance to win rather than vote for the lessor of two evils. My point was when your life and freedom are one the line is no time to insist on being perfectly right — dead right — your first priority must be to block the main threat to the American way of life. In this case we are taking about the crime boss better know as the Donald.

You just don’t get the basic human mindset. Actually me thinks you do, but pretend otherwise. Politics is always going to be a sausage factory. It ain’t pretty and the dark forces know it and exploit it just as it is.
You pretend (fake piety) that it was a battle of opposing ideas — ridiculous. It was a battle between the xenophobic mindset and the nation’s better angels, as Lincoln would call them. Xenophobes never spilt their vote. I mean there was no one of a lower character than the Donald, by any reasonable standard of measure, so why would they have to?
No, Democrats are not sore losers, which is more of Trump’s BS. The Democrats were stupid, cocky losers. Even Trump was stunned by his victory. But his Russian accomplices were smart enough to figure out that less than a hundred thousand votes spread across three midwestern states could carry the Electoral College for their boy. So they wisely pointed Trump and their mountain of social media propaganda, of which it sounds like you were and are a significant part right now, in precisely that right direction. It worked!
Personally I don’t give a crap about left right sniping. What I care about is democratic ideals vs. the Trump/Putin criminal wrecking ball of those American ideals. And in that regard it definitely does come down to a them and vs. us, save our democracy, contest.
