Yes, there could be more training for new type jobs, but the hard reality is that automation is eliminating jobs at such a furious rate that such training at this point in time can’t possible keep up with those needing decent paying work.

Meanwhile President Trump has managed to bamboozle a goodly chuck of the country into believing that it is bad trade policies that is the reason for the lose of high paying jobs. Moreover, a lot of the new type jobs are beyond the ability of the mass of workers who used to staff the mainline industries of the last century, so a fair amount of good jobs remain unfilled. To put it rather crudely, today’s better paying jobs are a 20 IQ points higher requirement. That is something not easily remedied.
