Yes, Trump does a Jack Nicolson — as Colonel Nathan Jessep in the movie A Few Good Men — screaming blowup of truth almost as regularly as Yellow Stone’s Old Faithful. It is like his ability to suppress guilt is nearly zip, or that his childish impulse to show that he is getting away with something as a sign of personal power — ego — is irresistible.

Habits are hard to break, and for him to get used to the fact that a lifetime of writing a check to get out of trouble doesn’t work when one is president leaves him babbling nonsense.

Apprentice Killers: The War of Lincoln and Davis — a great read of another dangerous time for America.
