Yes, yes, yes! We humans have two dominant impulses, not counting the base ego thing. We have an individualistic impulse to succeed on our own (the capitalistic impulse) and a collective impulse to work together for the common good (the socialistic impulse). Societies and total economies work best when capitalism and socialism are evenly balanced to compliment each other.
