Yes, you are right about Trump, Michaias. But what I find ironic is that folks think that trench warfare was what was stupid about WWI. The fact is that technology determines tactics. The generals learned the hard way in the early months war, before tanks and air planes were better perfected in WWII, that battlefield advantage had swung hard to the defensive. Indeed, it was not until the Germans had been badly bleed down and millions of fresh American troops came in on the side of the allies late in the war that effective offensive operations became possible again.
