You and a few others are surely on to something here. There is a tsunami of humanity coming down the pike for which because of technology there can be little chance for meaningful employment. Therefore certainly there will be experiments in which individuals and families will receive a guaranteed minimum government sponsored income.

Now conservatives will say this is an outrage, a work killing disincentive. But humans are wired for action and to get ahead where possible. Presenting everyone with a minimum living wage will of course have massive unintended consequences, both good and bad.

Yet, alas, perhaps there is no satisfactory answer to millions of future unemployed. But you can be certain that attempts will be made to address the problem.
