You can run an instant grtification test on children between, say, the age of five an ten years old and get a good idea which ones will end up the most successful in life. You know, that test where they offer a kid some sort of treat right now, or if they wait 15 minutes, or some other time interval, they would receive twice the treat.

Of course those kids that have the discipline to wait for double the reward are the ones most likely to succeed in life.

You can be sure that those folks impatient to open up social mingling are the ones that if they were given the instant gratification test as a kid, they would have failed.
