You write in much greater detail about what I have been writing about broadly — awesome. Yes, being the Wall Street party, a naturally small party, the GOP has had to combat faltering demographics by appealing to the hardwired negative tribal offset of hatred of the “other,” a dismal political low road.
But I would cut the dying Republican moderates (like Morning Joe) some slack. Because hate is the most powerful of unifying agents, GOP moderates had little chance to hold the line against the party’s growing evil to marginalize them, opining the door for the Donald. Indeed, moderation has little chance, left or right, when the fires of extremism are raging.
And certainly with all the nation’s bad eggs at last having found a home within a single party, backed by a powerful right wing propaganda machine lead by Fox News, I see nothing but storm clouds on the horrizon.
