You’re not going to like this, Tabitha, but I detect a little bit of arrogance on both sides of this encounter. He was consumed by entitlement and you were to proud and self righteous to clue him in on your situation.

Had you done so he might have apologized with both of you parting on good terms instead of both of you feeling screwed.
